Mohammad al-Alakach graduated from the Faculty of Arts, History Department at the University of Aleppo in Syria.
Then he enrolled for the Diploma of Education, but these studies were canceled as he became an assistant in the Department of History at the University of Aleppo. There he used to supervise the practical parts of the history of modern Europa and of the history of Islamic civilization.
Nowadays, he works as a PhD student at the University of Ghent under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jo Van Steenbrgen. His project concerns the echoes of the 1860 Damascus Massacre in Belgium. In this massacre a lot of innocent people were killed, when the Ottomans ruled over the Levant.
He has already written in French a detailed study in which he explains the reasons and outcome of this incident.
